Alaves stunned the Camp Nou within the first minute when Barcelona failed to clear a corner, and Marc Casado’s poor touch led to chaos, allowing Pablo Ibanez to score a goal..
Amazingly, it nearly became two goals inside 60 seconds as the home side struggled to find their rhythm.
However, after seven minutes, Raphinha attempted Barcelona’s first shot on target, and shortly after, Lamine Yamal blasted the equalizer into the top corner, following excellent play from the Brazilian down the left wing.
Approaching the midway point of the first half, the Catalans had gained control of the match, though Alaves remained a threat on counterattacks with Lucas Boye standing out.
Joan Garcia was on the ground when he brilliantly saved Jonny Otto’s shot headed for goal, before Barca quickly countered, where Dani Olmo powered in a second goal for the hosts assisted perfectly by Raphinha.
A long ball nearly caught Alaves’ defense off guard as halftime neared, and although the Brazilian reached the ball, visiting goalkeeper Antonio Sivera was quick to close down the chance.
A one-two between Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal should have resulted in a third goal, but Yamal only managed to hit the post.

With Marcus Rashford added to Barca’s offense, the home team started the second half aggressively, but the visitors’ five-man defense complicated matters.
Lewandowski’s strong header from close range forced a great save from Sivera, shortly before Yamal’s curling shot from distance went just over as the hosts continued to press.
The home side kept applying pressure, with Olmo missing an easy chance, while Pedri’s entry helped stop Alaves from advancing, despite efforts from former Barca players, Denis Suarez and Carlos Alena.
A last-ditch tackle by Pau Cubarsi blocked Boye’s shot following a late Alaves counterattack, and Garcia was equal to Jon Guridi’s attempt as the visitors pressed once more.
With two minutes left in stoppage time and the visitors pushing forward, they were caught out again as Olmo slid in to score the third goal.
This defeat marks Alaves’ fifth away loss this season, meaning they have earned less than a third of their points on the road.
Meanwhile, a fourth consecutive league win under Hansi Flick keeps the pressure on Real Madrid, who now trail by two points with a game in hand.
