The latest charges concern the Championship club’s failure to pay players during March, May, and June this year, along with other missed payments to staff and UK tax authorities.
The ex-Premier League side was docked 12 points on October 24th following their administration filing.
Currently at the bottom of the Championship table, the second level of English football, they now stand at minus 10 points.
Dejphon Chansiri, the former owner from Thailand who ended his ties with the club after placing it into administration, has also been banned from owning or directing any EFL club for three years.
An official EFL statement said: "Sheffield Wednesday FC will face a six-point deduction immediately due to multiple breaches of EFL rules concerning payment duties, and the club’s former owner, Mr. Dejphon Chansiri, is barred from owning or directing any EFL club for three years.
"These penalties for both the club and Mr. Chansiri were confirmed after both parties agreed on the sanctions, which were then approved by the chair of the independent disciplinary commission."
Sheffield Wednesday are set to play against Blackburn Rovers this weekend - follow the match live on Flashscore.
