Man United receives extremely good news from a major signing

Before the game with West Ham in the middle of the week, the Red Devils greeted the return of one of their key figures up front.

Manchester United is experiencing a significant boost in squad strength as striker Matheus Cunha has officially resumed training after missing two matches due to a head injury. This move gives coach Ruben Amorim more quality options for the busy run-up to Christmas.

Previously, Amorim revealed that he expected Cunha to recover in time for the midweek clash against West Ham United. With the Brazilian forward appearing in training at Carrington, his participation now seems almost certain. In a video shared on social media, Cunha looked energetic, confirming he is ready to make his comeback with Man United.

Cunha’s return helps ease some of the pressure on Man Utd’s attacking lineespecially following the disappointing loss to Everton despite the opponent playing with 10 men. Nevertheless, the Red Devils quickly regained confidence with a 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace, where Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount both scored. Given the impressive form of this duo, Cunha is likely to start on the bench to ensure his safety after the injury.

Additionally, Man United fans can be somewhat reassured as Bruno Fernandes was confirmed not to have a serious injury. The Portuguese midfielder was seen limping off towards the end of the Palace match, but Amorim stated that the captain only suffered minor pain from a collision and should be fit to play soon.

The Christmas period is always decisive in the Premier League, and the Red Devils definitely need a full squad for the tough sequence of matches ahead. After hosting West Ham, they will travel to Wolves next Monday. A week later, they will face Bournemouth at Old Trafford. The final match before the Christmas break will be against Aston Villa, followed by a trip to St James’ Park to meet Newcastle on Boxing Day.

Lisandro Martinez is another bright spot, as the Argentine defender is expected to make his first start in over nine months during the upcoming fixtures. He made a brief return with a few minutes played against Palace and is gradually regaining his touch.

On the other hand, Man United still cannot welcome Benjamin Sesko due to a knee injury, while Harry Maguire continues his recovery from a muscle injury. With a series of positive updates from the medical room, Red Devils fans have reason to hope their team will come back stronger in the most critical month of the season.
