The Jutland underdogs contributed to an exciting game, but honestly, the quality gap was too large for Sancheev Manoharan’s team to overcome.

The match attracted 13,205 fans through the gates at Blue Water Arena, where theEsbjerg supporters are eager for top-tier football after five years outside Denmark’s premier domestic league.

Despite the crowd’s pressure, FC Copenhagen dominated the game from the outset, netting two goals within the first 15 minutes and maintained overall control.

Esbjerg players barely touched the ball before Viktor Dadason, just six minutes into the match, tapped the ball in at the far post following a precise cross from Youssoufa Moukoko.

Eight minutes later, Moukoko assisted again, this time setting up Mohamed Elyounoussi who slipped past Andreas Troelsen and finished low past goalkeeper Robby McCrorie.

By the 35th minute, the visitors extended their lead to 3-0 when McCrorie was caught off guard, and Dadason crossed for Elias Achouri, who scored from close range.

The home team earned a lifeline just before halftime when Muamer Brajanac cut the deficit by chipping the ball over Dominik Kotarski.

In the second half, Dadason scored his second goal 18 minutes from time to make it 4-1, before Peter Bjur immediately followed with a stylish curled shot beyond Kotarski’s reach to bring the score to 4-2.
