The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has congratulated and expressed gratitude to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the national U17 squad for securing a spot in the 2026 AFC U17 Asian Cup final stage.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) sent a congratulatory letter to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) after The Vietnam U17 team triumphantly topped Group C in the qualifiers for the 2026 AFC U17 Asian Cup, thereby officially earning a place in the final tournament to be held in Saudi Arabia in 2026. In the letter, AFC praised the team's determination, dedication, and impressive performance throughout the qualification campaign.
Along with the congratulations to the team, AFC also extended sincere thanks to VFF and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for successfully hosting the Group C qualifiers from November 22 to 30, 2025, in Hanoi and Hung Yen. AFC acknowledged the commitment, professionalism, and persistent efforts of VFF and LOC in ensuring the organization and operation of the tournament met international standards.
AFC also thanked the Local Organizing Committee for their careful preparations and warm hospitality extended to AFC officials and participating teams throughout the tournament.
