Manchester United is willing to spend £100 million to sign Anderson, determined to outbid Manchester City! Sir Jim Ratcliffe backs Amourin's rebuilding plan.

Manchester United is prepared to shatter their club transfer record to secure their desired midfield target, Elliott Anderson, ahead of Manchester City. The 23-year-old English international is said to prioritize joining Guardiola’s team, but as they refuse to pay Nottingham Forest’s £100 million valuation, United aims to capitalize on this chance to sign him.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Sir Jim Ratcliffe supports signing domestic players and is ready to approve the £100 million deal for Anderson. If successful, this would set a new record for Manchester United’s transfer fees, surpassing Paul Pogba’s previous £89 million record, making him the club’s most expensive signing ever.

Nottingham Forest appears prepared for Anderson’s departure, having identified Tyler Morton from French Ligue 1 side Lyon as his replacement. The 23-year-old English defensive midfielder, who previously played for Liverpool, has performed well this season in Ligue 1 with one goal and one assist, and may return to English football after just one season abroad.

Manchester United might raise funds by selling fringe players such as Cody Gakpo and Teden Mengi. Particularly, Mengi, a youth academy product, would generate pure profit from any transfer fee, helping offset much of the spending. If Casemiro leaves upon contract expiry, the club could save between £14 million and £17.5 million in annual wages.

“Athletic” previewed Manchester United’s midfield recruitment plans for next year. The club had reached a personal agreement with Carlos Baleba during the summer window but abandoned the move due to Brighton’s £120 million price tag. Now, the 21-year-old Cameroonian defensive midfielder’s form has declined, lowering his priority. Laurie Whitwell commented: “Anderson currently seems to be United’s main focus, but you should also watch Adam Walton, who is a different style of midfielder.”

If several current midfielders are sold, Manchester United could bring in up to three new players in that position next year, including possibly a cheaper squad rotation option like Atlético Madrid’s Conor Gallagher. Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Atlético are willing to sell, and a £26 million fee might persuade the “Colchoneros” to let the 25-year-old English midfielder go.

Manchester United have also been linked recently with some young midfield talents, including Christos Mouzakitis from Greek side Olympiacos. According to Greece’s “Sportime,” United offered £24.4 million, but the bid was rejected as Olympiacos considered it too low.

The Greek club reportedly demands over £26.2 million and will not enter negotiations otherwise, aiming for a total valuation of £35 million for the player. The 18-year-old has quickly become one of Europe’s hottest prospects, with Real Madrid also reportedly interested in acquiring him.

Spain’s “Fichajes” website has reignited rumors of Manchester United’s interest in Real Madrid captain Federico Valverde, claiming the Red Devils plan to bid £70 million. Amourin reportedly admires Valverde’s work ethic, leadership qualities, and ability to transition between attack and defense. However, unless United offers a higher fee, the deal is unlikely, as Valverde’s contract runs until 2029 and Madrid intends to keep him.

If Manchester United can sign two or three strong players by 2026, Amourin’s rebuilding plan could accelerate significantly, making the team much more competitive.
