The VFF delegation held discussions with Phong Phú Hà Nam Women's Football Club regarding the licensing plan for women's clubs.
Concerning the plan and roadmap for implementing the domestic women's club licensing process following the guidance of the Women's Football Committee and the VFF Executive Committee, on December 3rd, the VFF delegation worked with Phong Phú Hà Nam Women's Football Club.
On December 3, 2025, the VFF delegation, led by Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Hà – Deputy General Secretary of VFF, met with Phong Phú Hà Nam Women's Football Club. The meeting was attended by Mr. Đỗ Tiến Quảng – Director of Ninh Bình Sports Center II, Ms. Nguyễn Khánh Thu – Head Coach of the club, along with other club officials and coaches.
The VFF mission aimed to conduct an on-site survey of women's football activities at clubs and to discuss the plan and roadmap for implementing the domestic women's club licensing process as directed by the Women's Football Committee and the VFF Executive Committee. This also serves as preparation for clubs to meet licensing requirements if they wish to participate in the Championship. The women's football clubs under the Asian Football Confederation – AFC Women’s Champions League. During the meeting, the VFF delegation clearly outlined the objectives of the domestic licensing process: to raise operational standards and ensure stability and professionalism of women's football clubs.
According to the roadmap approved by VFF, the licensing activity will be piloted during the 2026-2027 seasons, and officially implemented from late 2027 to license clubs participating in the 2028 National Women's Football Championship. Following the AFC women's club licensing roadmap, clubs are required to obtain licenses to participate in the 2028/29 AFC Women’s Champions League.
Additionally, the delegation conducted a detailed review with the club on meeting five licensing criteria groups: sporting, infrastructure, personnel and administration, legal, and financial. They also discussed appropriate support solutions with the club.
Phong Phú Hà Nam Club showed a cooperative spirit and hopes for continued support from VFF as well as attention from local authorities to gradually fulfill licensing criteria, contributing to the improvement of Vietnamese women's football quality.
From December 3 to 16, 2025, VFF will continue to organize working sessions and surveys at women's football clubs nationwide to prepare for the licensing implementation.
