Coach Kim Sang Sik unexpectedly altered the plan, giving the U22 Vietnam team a rest day on December 5th.
Originally, the U22 Vietnam team planned to train this afternoon at 4:00 PM at RBAC Stadium (Bangkok).
However, according to the latest update from the coaching staff to the players, the team will have a complete rest today.
With SEA Games 2025 approaching, there is still ample preparation time, so the decision to rest on December 5th is completely understandable.
At 4:00 PM tomorrow, December 6th, the U22 Vietnam team will return to regular training at their usual venue, RBAC Stadium (Bangkok).
Currently, the U22 Malaysia team has arrived in Bangkok and will compete against U22 Laos on December 6th.
Coach Kim Sang Sik assigned his assistant to observe the match between U22 Laos and U22 Malaysia to analyze the opponent’s strengths and weaknesses for the best preparation ahead of the December 11th match.
Previously, in the training session on the afternoon of December 4th, one day after the 2-1 victory over U22 Laos, Coach Kim Sang Sik set a moderate training plan. The starters from the U22 Laos match mainly focused on recovery and muscle relaxation, while the others practiced attacking combinations and finishing drills.
Midfielder Nguyen Xuan Bac, injured in the opening match, stayed at the hotel for gym workouts and therapy. According to the U22 Vietnam team doctor, he may return to training within two days.
The U22 Vietnam team still has six days before facing U22 Malaysia (December 11th). During this time, Coach Kim Sang Sik and the coaching staff will continue to improve the playing style, especially the ability to manage final moments.
