Salah Criticizes Club for Embarrassing Situation, Kane Innocently Caught in Crossfire

In this round of the Premier League, Salah was benched and did not take the field, while Liverpool conceded a late equalizer in a 3-3 draw away to struggling Leeds United. Following the game, the seasoned Liverpool star, last season’s top scorer and assist provider Salah, frustrated by his continued absence from the starting lineup, lashed out at the club and coaching team during an interview. Salah implied that despite him not playing, Liverpool still failed to secure a win, indicating the team’s poor form should not be blamed solely on him. He also gave an example involving England’s top player Kane, but the Egyptian Pharaoh ended up making a blunder.

Salah said: “Can I give an example? It might sound a bit silly, but I really can’t hold it in. I remember a period when Kane went ten consecutive games without scoring, yet the media kept saying he would eventually find the net. But when it comes to me (Salah), everyone says I should be benched. Sorry, Kane.”

Salah’s flawed example was quickly picked up by the media, with Opta reporting that Kane has never gone six straight top-flight starts in his career without scoring a goal.

Now things have gotten worse for Salah, who has become the scapegoat at Liverpool. What might have been the end for Slottke now looks like Salah will be completely sidelined, and he has even unintentionally offended England’s current top player Kane. Salah’s fiery temper surely makes Klopp’s patience and guidance all the more valuable—without the manager’s tolerance and coaching, there would be no Egyptian Pharaoh.
