In the early hours of December 9th, AC Milan played one of the most dramatic matches of the season by staging a remarkable comeback to beat Torino 3-2 away in the 14th round of Serie A.
Although they fell behind by two goals in less than 20 minutes, the red and black team displayed the grit expected from a Serie A title contender for the remaining 70 minutes.
The standout player of the match was Christian Pulisic, who came on in the second half and scored twice to complete Milan’s comeback.
This was a crucial moment that brought the "Rossoneri" back to the top of the Serie A table and extended their unbeaten run to 13 games. Pulisic showed rare creativity and sharpness, scoring just seconds after coming on to reduce the deficit, then securing the win in the 77th minute.

Besides Pulisic, Luka Modric also made a strong impression. The 39-year-old star continued to prove his worth and stamina by starting his 14th consecutive Serie A match. He had 100 touches, a 94% passing accuracy, created 16 passes in the final third, and completed 7 accurate long balls. These stats highlight the key role of the "evergreen" Croatian in Milan’s tactical system.
Before the comeback, Milan had a very difficult start on a day when coach Massimiliano Allegri was suspended and had to watch from the stands. In the 10th minute, the visitors conceded after Fikayo Tomori handled the ball in the penalty area. Mike Maignan saved Nikola Vlasic’s first penalty attempt but could not stop the rebound. Seven minutes later, Vlasic troubled Milan again by assisting Duván Zapata to make it 2-0.
After a shot deflected off Rabiot that left goalkeeper Franco Israel helpless in the 24th minute to make it 1-2, Milan really got back into the game. This goal sparked the visitors to raise the pace in the second half.
The visitors kept applying pressure and it finally paid off: Pulisic equalized and then completed his brace within 10 minutes, securing the 3-2 win.
This result helped Milan surpass Napoli to reclaim first place in Serie A with 31 points, ahead of Napoli (second) on goal difference and one point above Inter Milan (third).
Meanwhile, Torino continued their decline with six consecutive matches without a win. In the other late fixture of round 14, another home team, Udinese, also lost 1-2 to Genoa.
