Manchester United striker Benjamin Szeszko, who was injured during last month's international break, has now returned to the pitch for individual training, supervised by a dedicated fitness coach. The 23-year-old Slovenian international's recovery is reportedly progressing well, and the coaching staff are very pleased with his rehabilitation.

His agent, Elvis Basanovic, said: "Benjamin (Szeszko) is in good shape right now, and his healing process is on schedule. He is eager to get back on the field. He has missed many matches and feels somewhat anxious. We hope he can return soon and regain his top form. It's difficult to pinpoint exactly when he'll be back; ultimately, the decision rests with the medical team and coaches. I believe we'll see him on the pitch sooner than expected, possibly earlier than anticipated."
Szeszko aims to be included in the squad for next Monday’s Premier League match against Bournemouth. If that doesn’t happen, the key clash with Aston Villa will be his target. However, if the €85 million summer signing manages to return smoothly, it will spell bad news for Red Devils academy player Kobe Meno.
Once next week arrives and Mbemo, Amad Diallo, and Mazraoui leave to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations, if Szeszko remains sidelined, 20-year-old Meno could become the first-choice substitute for the number 10 role behind Cunha, Mason Mount, and Zirkzee, especially since his main competitors are limited to academy teammates Shea Lesi and Jack Fletcher.

However, once Szeszko returns, Meno will have to step back again, with little improvement in his playing time. Currently, even against the bottom-ranked, winless, and depleted Wolves, Amolin does not consider starting Meno, which reflects the coach’s view of him.
According to British media reports, the reason Meno is not favored by head coach Ruben Amolin is due to his lack of running ability!
Premier League journalist Richard Keys revealed that over the weekend, he learned Amolin’s biggest dissatisfaction with Meno is his mobility. Manchester United fans know that Meno prefers steady-paced runs, displaying a masterful, effortless style.

For example, in the Manchester United vs. Wolves match, after coming on as a substitute, Meno completed 12 out of 13 passes successfully and won two fouls. This reflects his characteristic calm ball control and passing during games.
Traveling away, Manchester United supporters gave Meno enthusiastic applause. However, Amolin favors midfielders in his 3-4-3 formation who run tirelessly and play with passion.
Amolin places great importance on team structure, discipline, and tactical control, standards Meno does not meet. Therefore, in Manchester United’s current system, the English youngster is like Pogba under Mourinho—not lacking ability but unsuitable in style and attitude.

Regarding Amolin’s standards, Keys expressed disagreement. "I only found out over the weekend why Amolin won’t play Meno. Amolin thinks the player can’t run all over the pitch and lacks mobility. This generation of coaches has said some baffling nonsense, and Amolin’s opinion is among the most absurd. Lacking mobility? So Amolin chooses to play Casemiro? If this isn’t sad, it’s downright ridiculous."
Keys revealed that Meno, who has played only 183 minutes in the Premier League despite the season being nearly halfway through, has decided to leave Manchester United. "Meno is unfortunately set to depart Manchester United, likely in January," Keys stated.
Serie A’s Napoli and Bundesliga’s Bayern Munich have recently contacted Meno’s agent. Premier League clubs are also interested, but Manchester United is reluctant to trade with teams from the same league.

Predicted Manchester United squad during the Africa Cup of Nations: Senna Lamens / Lenny Yoro (Maguire), De Ligt (Maguire Eden-Haven), Luke Shaw (Lisandro Martinez) / Diogo Dalot, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Patrick Dogu / Mason Mount (Meno), Szeszko (Zirkzee), Cunha.
