Although the Thunder lost to the Spurs in the cup match, marking their second loss of the season, they remain firmly in second place with a 24-2 record, holding a lead of at least 4.5 games over the teams behind them. The Nuggets and Rockets faced off in a tough matchup today, with the Nuggets narrowly winning 128-125 in overtime at home, extending their winning streak to five games. Now at 19-6, Denver holds second place, one game ahead of the Lakers and Spurs. This five-game winning streak is currently the longest in the West. In today’s game, Jokic exploded for 39 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists, Murray contributed 35 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Johnson and Hardaway each scored 13 points.

Nuggets’ 5-game winning streak

The Rockets had six players score in double digits today. The Warriors have also endured two straight losses recently and are ranked 8th with a 13-14 record. The Grizzlies defeated the struggling Clippers 121-103 today. Jackson had a breakout performance, making 14 of 18 shots for 31 points, Spencer went 9 of 13 from the field and 7 of 10 from three-point range, contributing 27 points and 6 assists. Currently, Memphis is 9th with a 12-14 record, just half a game behind the Warriors.

Clippers struggling

The Jazz beat the Mavericks 140-133 today, with Markkanen and George combining for 70 points. Utah now holds 10-15 and 10th place, half a game ahead of the 11th-place Trail Blazers (10-16). The Mavericks are 12th with a 10-17 record. The Kings and Clippers share the same record at 6-20, tied for second to last. The Kings have lost three straight games, the Clippers four, while the Pelicans are last at 5-22 but have recently won two consecutive games.
