
FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn on the achievement of the Vietnamese football teams reaching the SEA Games 33 finals, and extended his best wishes for continued success to both teams.
FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafsström highly praised the positive results Vietnamese football has achieved recently, expressing confidence that with a systematic, professional, and sustainable development approach, Vietnamese football will make further progress in the future.
VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn sincerely thanked FIFA, President Gianni Infantino, and Secretary General Mattias Grafsström for their ongoing attention, partnership, and support to member organizations, including Vietnam. He emphasized that FIFA’s practical assistance has played a crucial role in helping Vietnamese football achieve many positive outcomes, progressively improving infrastructure, facilities, and conditions for national teams.
This meeting reaffirmed the effective cooperative relationship between FIFA and VFF, aiming at the common goal of promoting sustainable development of Vietnamese football in line with FIFA’s global football development strategy.
According to the schedule, Vietnam U22 will face host Thailand in the men's football final of SEA Games 33 on December 18 at Rajamangala Stadium. Meanwhile, the Vietnam women's team will compete against the Philippines in the women's football final on December 17.
