Korean Coach Pens Farewell Letter to Laos National Team

Coach Ha Hyeok Jun shared a heartfelt post marking his official departure from the Laos national teams after almost two years of commitment.

On his personal page, Coach Ha Hyeok Jun recently published a farewell message to Laotian football after nearly two years of dedication. The Korean strategist wrote:

"505 days with Laos! Grateful for the journey, the people, and the lessons learned. Thank you to the Laos Football Federation, the players, and the coaching staff for their trust and support.

We worked with limited resources but unlimited effort. I am proud of what we have built together—not just the results, but also a culture and a standard for development.

This chapter has closed. I look forward to the next challenge."

Earlier on the afternoon of January 2nd, the official fanpage of the Laos Football Federation unexpectedly announced Coach Ha Hyeok Jun’s departure, surprising fans across the country. Most football fans in the Land of a Million Elephants believe that although results were not outstanding, the Korean coach brought an unprecedented fighting spirit to the players.

Since taking charge in August 2024, Coach Ha Hyeok Jun injected new energy into Laotian football. Over his 1 year and 4 months tenure, the Korean strategist left a strong mark by implementing modern training methods, emphasizing discipline and scientific approaches. These factors completely transformed the tactical mindset and competitive spirit of the Laos players, helping them shed the image of a perennial underdog in the region.

However, in terms of achievements, he was unable to deliver positive outcomes for the Southeast Asian representative. Statistics show that Coach Ha Hyeok Jun led the Laos teams through 11 matches, achieving only 1 win, 3 draws, and 7 losses.
