Identifying the first teams to reach the U19 National Quarterfinals

Hanoi, PVF, Ha Tinh, PVF CAND, and Viettel are the first squads to qualify from the group stage of the U19 National Championship Finals.

After the third round of group matches, the U19 National Championship – Modern Cup 2025/26 has confirmed additional teams officially securing their spots in the quarterfinals.

In Group B, Hanoi secured their place early after the second round and made some personnel changes in the match against Ho Chi Minh City Police Club. Nevertheless, the capital team quickly took control on the field. In the 15th minute, Dam Tien Phat opened the scoring for Hanoi with a precise shot.

Just 11 minutes later, Nguyen Ngoc The Dan increased the lead to 2-0. At this point, Ho Chi Minh City Police Club seemed to awaken and began launching some notable attacks. However, their efforts were insufficient to find an equalizer in the first half. The first 45 minutes ended with Hanoi holding the advantage.

In the second half, Ho Chi Minh City Police Club continued to strive, but their forwards failed to capitalize on chances. Dam Tien Phat and Uong Thanh An added goals to help Hanoi seal a 4-0 victory.

In the other match, PVF secured an impressive 4-2 win over Ho Chi Minh City in a thrilling back-and-forth game. Van Duong scored a brace along with goals from Dang Khoa and Gia Bao. Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City's two goals came from Tran Son and Huynh Luc. Thus, in Group B, Hanoi and PVF are confirmed to advance as the top two teams.

In Group A, no surprises occurred as PVF-CAND defeated Dak Lak 2-0, with Van Bach opening the scoring and Hoang Nam from the Tay Nguyen team scoring an own goal. Meanwhile, The Cong Viettel drew 2-2 with Hong Linh Ha Tinh. Consequently, Hong Linh Ha Tinh qualified for the quarterfinals as one of the two best third-placed teams. PVF-CAND and The Cong Viettel also advanced directly from the group stage.
