The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has conducted a review of the Vietnam futsal team’s playing kits.
On the morning of January 25th, the AFC inspected the Vietnam futsal team’s uniforms. Details such as jersey numbers, shorts numbers, sponsor logos, and more were carefully measured and verified to ensure full compliance with the tournament regulations and commercial rights requirements.
Also on the morning of January 25th, the Vietnam futsal team held a physical training session at the gym of the Le Meridien Hotel (Jakarta) to strengthen their fitness base before kicking off their campaign at the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship.
The fitness session lasted about an hour under the guidance of the team’s fitness expert. Players performed exercises to enhance strength, maintain flexibility, and improve endurance after days of continuous travel and training. Reports show the team’s health is stable, including Châu Đoàn Phát, who recently returned from injury and successfully completed the assigned program.
Immediately afterward, the entire squad held a technical meeting, reviewing video footage of recent matches. Coach Diego Giustozzi personally analyzed key situations, highlighting strengths to build upon and weaknesses to address, helping players gain a clearer, practical understanding to further refine their play before the official matches at the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship.
According to the schedule, at 4:30 PM today (January 25th), the Vietnam futsal team will have a familiarization training session at the official venue of the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship. The organizers have allocated 60 minutes for Coach Diego Giustozzi and his players to get accustomed to the court, lighting, and playing conditions, preparing fully for their opening match.
In this tournament, the Vietnam futsal team is placed in Group B alongside strong opponents including the reigning Asian runners-up Thailand, Kuwait, and Lebanon. At the Asian futsal stage, Vietnam made a remarkable impact by reaching the semifinals in 2016, which earned them their first-ever qualification for the FIFA Futsal World Cup. With their current status and fresh talent emerging in recent years, Coach Diego Giustozzi’s squad continues to carry high hopes of making a new mark in the continental futsal scene.
