PVF Youth Football Training Center – Ministry of Public Security formalizes partnership with Brazil’s S.A.F Botafogo Club.
On the afternoon of January 24, 2026, in Hung Yen, the PVF Youth Football Training Center – Ministry of Public Security officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Brazil’s S.A.F Botafogo Club, aiming to enhance collaboration in youth football training, develop professional personnel and players according to international standards.
According to the agreement, both parties agreed on comprehensive cooperation across multiple areas, focusing on exchanging expertise in player and staff development; organizing training programs, competitions, and delegation exchanges; sending Botafogo technical experts to work at PVF; jointly providing players and experts for the PVF-CAND Club; and holding specialized seminars related to the selection and development of young players.
The cooperation roadmap will be implemented in several phases. Initially, Botafogo will send a team of experts to PVF Youth Football Training Center to assess the training system, coaching methods, facilities, and operational model, thereby developing plans for subsequent phases.
In the following phase, PVF plans to send professional staff to Brazil to gain firsthand experience at Botafogo’s training system, aiming to implement short-term training programs and professional integration for young players and coaching staff.
Over recent years, PVF Youth Football Training Center – Ministry of Public Security has established itself as a key training facility in Vietnamese football, contributing many quality coaches and players to national teams at all levels, from U16, U19, U20, U23 to the senior national team, as well as to professional clubs.
The partnership with Brazil’s S.A.F Botafogo Club — one of the country’s most historic clubs with a highly regarded youth training system in South America — is expected to further elevate training quality, enhance international professional exchanges, and expand development opportunities for young players within PVF’s system, while effectively linking youth training with professional competition at PVF-CAND Club, thereby making a practical contribution to the sustainable development strategy of Vietnamese football.
