Vietnam Football Federation President Tran Quoc Tuan offers support to the Vietnam women's national team.
This afternoon (January 27), Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) President Tran Quoc Tuan attended and motivated the Vietnam women's national team during their friendly match against the Uzbekistan women's team, as part of their training preparation for the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup, which will be held in Australia in March 2026.
The direct presence of the VFF President demonstrates the federation's close attention and care for the preparation efforts of the Vietnam women's team, especially as the squad enters an intense training and competition phase aimed at achieving important goals on the continental stage.
The friendly match was played with serious and positive attitudes from both sides. Ultimately, the Vietnam women's team secured a 1-0 victory, with the only goal scored by Bich Thuy in the 59th minute.
Through this match, the coaching staff continued to review the squad, test formations, and evaluate player performance. Some personnel adjustments were made in the second half to manage workload and provide playing opportunities for more athletes.
After the game, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan personally visited and encouraged the coaching staff and players, acknowledging their serious training attitude, effort, and determination throughout the preparation period.
According to the plan, the Vietnam women's national team will have another friendly match on January 30. Following that, the entire team will travel to Shenzhen, China, to enter the next training phase, which includes two scheduled international friendlies to continue improving skills, fitness, and team cohesion before the official tournament.
