Fitness test results for Professional Referees in the second half of the 2025/26 season: 50 out of 51 referees passed
On the afternoon of January 27, as part of the first mid-season training session for Supervisors and Referees of the 2025/26 National Professional Football Leagues, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) conducted fitness tests for the Professional Referee team serving the second half of the 2025/26 season. The test took place at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.
This is an essential professional activity, mandatory to comprehensively assess the physical condition and ability to meet the intensity of matches as well as the requirements for officiating games during the remaining part of the season. The fitness test was organized following current professional procedures and standards, ensuring objectivity and seriousness.
According to the compiled results, a total of 51 referees and assistant referees participated in the test, with 50 meeting the fitness requirements set out. One assistant referee did not pass the fitness test.
Based on the test results, The VFF acknowledged the serious training attitude and good preparation awareness of the majority of referees and assistant referees during the mid-season period. This forms an important foundation to ensure the refereeing team has sufficient physical fitness to maintain stability and accuracy in officiating matches in the 2025/26 National Professional Football Leagues.
The first mid-season training program for Supervisors and Referees of the 2025/26 National Professional Football Leagues was held from January 26 to 29 at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
Besides the fitness test, the training program also included topics on competition laws, supervision work, and reviewing incidents from the first half of the season to improve officiating quality and professionalism of the refereeing team in the second half of the season.
