Following the Warriors' heavy loss to the Timberwolves, the Lakers' victory over the Bulls, and the Rockets' triumph against the Grizzlies, the NBA Western Conference standings have been updated.

On January 28th Beijing time, the NBA regular season carried on with more games finishing yesterday. The Trail Blazers fell 94-102 to the Celtics, the Lakers maintained a lead to beat the Bulls 129-118, the Grizzlies suffered a late rally loss to the Rockets 99-108, and the Warriors were soundly defeated by the Timberwolves 83-108. Consequently, the updated Western Conference standings show the Rockets in fourth, Lakers fifth, Timberwolves sixth, Warriors eighth, and Trail Blazers ninth!

Trail Blazers vs. Celtics. In this game, the Trail Blazers struggled offensively on the road, scoring only 11 points in the first quarter, while the Celtics dominated with 32 points, effectively deciding the game early. Although the Trail Blazers gradually closed the gap, they never managed to take the lead, ultimately suffering a heavy defeat to the Celtics!

Lakers vs. Bulls. This game was a high-scoring affair with both teams playing aggressively, but the Lakers were more efficient offensively. LeBron James was on fire in the first half, and with Doncic continuing the scoring spree, the Lakers built a large lead. The Grizzlies attempted a comeback in the second half, but with Doncic’s outstanding performance, the Lakers kept extending their lead. Holding a 15-point advantage, the Lakers comfortably defeated the Bulls with contributions from multiple players!

Grizzlies vs. Rockets. Throughout the first three quarters, the two teams engaged in a fierce back-and-forth battle, with the Grizzlies holding a slight edge over the Rockets. The Rockets kept chasing but struggled to close the gap until the final quarter, when their offense finally ignited. Scoring 32 points with balanced attacks, the Rockets overturned the deficit and secured a win over the Grizzlies!

Warriors vs. Timberwolves. The two teams had just met in the previous round, where the Warriors crushed the Timberwolves, handing them their fifth consecutive loss. In this back-to-back matchup, both sides were missing key players, with the Warriors particularly depleted. The game started slowly with low shooting percentages, and the Timberwolves held a slight lead after the first quarter. As the game progressed, the Warriors struggled to find scoring options and improve their shooting, while the Timberwolves erupted offensively, dominating the Warriors with unstoppable momentum. The gap widened continuously, and the Warriors suffered a decisive defeat, allowing the Timberwolves to end their losing streak and bounce back!

Today, January 28th, six more Western Conference teams will compete: Kings, Clippers, Thunder, Trail Blazers, Nuggets, and Pelicans. The rankings are expected to change again, so let’s stay tuned!
