Breaking News: Tottenham's striking duo involved in a severe car accident

Forwards Randal Kolo Muani and Wilson Odobert caused alarm among Tottenham supporters when they suffered a major car accident en route to the airport, right before the decisive game against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Misfortune seems to continue haunting Tottenham Hotspur under the management of Thomas Frank. Amidst the team’s heavy pressure due to poor performance, a terrifying incident occurred on the afternoon of January 27th when the striking pair, Randal Kolo Muani and Wilson Odobert, were involved in a car crash while traveling to Stansted Airport to catch a flight to Germany.

At the scene, Kolo Muani’s luxury Ferrari was severely damaged: the front end was smashed, the windshield cracked, and the airbags deployed. The initial cause was identified as a tire blowout, which caused the French player to lose control of the vehicle.

Wilson Odobert, who was driving directly behind, immediately pulled over to assist his teammate. Despite the frightening image of the crushed car, fortunately, both players and others involved escaped serious injuries.

This incident delayed their flight, forcing them to depart after the rest of the team. During the press conference ahead of the Frankfurt match, coach Thomas Frank sought to reassure the public:

“I haven’t spoken to them directly yet, but they are okay. Everyone else involved in the accident is fine too. The tire blew out, which caused a slight delay for both of them. They will fly out later, and I have full confidence that both will be present.”

When asked whether the two players were mentally ready to compete, he affirmed: “That is something I fully believe in.”

However, this accident is only part of the personnel crisis at Spurs. Thomas Frank is facing a tough challenge as first-choice fullback Pedro Porro recently suffered a hamstring injury, sidelining him for a month.

Additionally, center-back Micky van de Ven missed the trip due to a minor injury. The growing list of injured players leaves the Danish coach with only 11 experienced outfield players available for the upcoming match. “That certainly doesn’t help us. We want the best players on the pitch,” Frank expressed regret over Porro’s absence.

The match against Eintracht Frankfurt — currently ranked 33rd and with no objectives left — is a golden opportunity for Tottenham to secure a spot in the Champions League round of 16.
