Brazil's coach makes a surprising decision regarding Đình Bắc and Lý Đức after the U23 Asian Championship final.

The trio Đình Bắc, Lý Đức, and Minh Phúc are granted a break after the conclusion of the 2026 U23 Asian Championship.

At 8:00 PM on January 28, CAHN Club will face Selangor Club (Malaysia) in the group stage of the Shopee Cup 2025/26. This match is crucial as it directly affects the police team’s chance to advance to the semifinals.

Notably, CAHN Club will be without their full squad as the trio Đình Bắc, Lý Đức, and Minh Phúc will be absent. It is known that coach Polking decided to give all three a few extra days off after their long journey through SEA Games 33 and the U23 Asian Championship.

“They just returned home, and we are allowing them a few days off because the rest of the team had already rested earlier,” Coach Polking stated at the press conference before the match against Selangor.

Previously, coach Mano Polking also arranged for the three to join the Vietnam U22 team early to prepare for SEA Games 33.

According to the German-Brazilian strategist, even without these three young players, CAHN remains highly confident after a long period of training recently.

“We will miss them, but they have not trained with us for some time anyway. The entire squad that has trained together for the past three weeks is ready for tomorrow’s match," he added.

After the 2026 U23 Asian Championship,Đình Bắc, Lý Đức, and Minh Phúc took the chance to visit home after being away for over two months. All three will rejoin CAHN on January 30 and are likely to play in the upcoming match between CAHN and Ninh Bình in Round 12 of the V-League this weekend.
