Doan Van Hau made a very impressive statement before the match against Selangor: 'CAHN comes here with the spirit of the Vietnamese people'

Coach Mano Polking and Doan Van Hau aim high for the upcoming game against Selangor in the Shopee Cup.

At the pre-match press conference for the Shopee Cup 2025/2026 game against Selangor, head coach Alexandre Polking and defender Doan Van Hau shared insights about their preparations for Hanoi Police Football Club, and expressed their determination to give their all to repay the trust of their home fans.

Recently, the national league took a break to allow the Vietnam U23 team to compete at SEA Games 33 and the 2026 U23 Asian Championship. According to the German-Brazilian strategist, this period was used by the whole team to review their squad and prepare for higher goals.

"Although we had a long break, we maintained discipline. The entire team has been training since the start of the new year, playing friendly matches, and making adjustments suitable for the importance of this game,"Coach Mano Polking stated.

As for defender Doan Van Hau, who recently returned from injury, he affirmed his determination to defeat Selangor:

"We come here carrying not only the spirit of Hanoi Police Club but also that of the Vietnamese people. The whole team aims to achieve the best and highest results to prepare for the upcoming matches."

On the other side, coach Kim Pan Gon commented: “International matches always have higher intensity and quality compared to domestic competitions. Hanoi Police is a strong team with good organization and many outstanding individual players, so we fully respect them."

“At the same time, we want to play our own style. We aim to control the game and dominate ball possession. Even facing a strong opponent, we must strive to build our own identity and team DNA,”the Korean strategist said.

The match between CAHN and Selangor FC will take place at 8:00 PM on January 28th.
