(Football results) - Vietnam's futsal team faced Lebanon in the second round of the 2026 Asian futsal group stage.

 

From the very first attack, Coach Diego Giustozzi’s squad quickly took the lead. Thịnh Phát skillfully handled the ball before assisting Công Viên, who sprinted forward to score from close range, beating the Lebanon goalkeeper. Minutes later, Vietnam doubled their advantage when Văn Tú sent a long pass to Ngọc Ánh. Although his initial one-touch shot missed, Ngọc Ánh followed up perfectly to extend the score to 2-0.

After conceding two early goals, Lebanon pushed forward seeking a goal. However, goalkeeper Văn Tú continuously shone with a series of excellent saves, especially in one-on-one situations and blocking dangerous close-range shots. The first half ended with Vietnam holding a 2-goal lead.

In the second half, Lebanon increased their pressure and nearly scored when two consecutive shots hit the post. Vietnam also created several chances but failed to capitalize. Difficulties arose in the 26th minute when Ngọc Linh received a red card, forcing Vietnam to play short-handed for 2 minutes. Nevertheless, the defense held firm, preventing any goals.

In the final minutes, Lebanon employed a power play strategy but could not break through Vietnam’s solid defense. The match concluded with a 2-0 victory for Vietnam’s futsal team.
