Swedish-Vietnamese overseas player Tran Li-sheng Eddie made a remarkable impact by helping Bac Ninh Club defeat Ho Chi Minh City on their home ground in the 8th round of the 2025/26 First Division.

Round 8 of the 2025/26 National First Division featured one of the most notable highlights when Bac Ninh Club secured a narrow 1-0 victory at Ho Chi Minh City's stadium. The hero for the Kinh Bac team was none other than Tran Li-sheng Eddie, the Swedish-Vietnamese player who scored his first goal on Vietnamese soil, securing all 3 points for the visiting team.

Before joining Bac Ninh Club, Eddie Tran played for several lower-division Swedish teams such as Varbergs BoIS, Kristianstad, Torns IF, and Lunds BK, competing in Sweden’s third tier. His experience in Northern European football environments shaped his modern playing style, emphasizing discipline, high fitness levels, and strong competitive ability.

In August 2025, Bac Ninh Club officially announced the signing of Li-sheng Eddie Tran, considering him a quality addition to the midfield ahead of the 2025/26 First Division season. Standing 1.72 meters tall, Eddie Tran performs best as a defensive or central midfielder, regarded as a key component in tactical systems due to his ball recovery, game reading, and effective distribution skills.
