Al-Nassr achieved a dominant 3-0 win away at Al Kholood, thereby staying close to the summit of the Saudi Pro League, thanks to goals from Ronaldo, Simakan, and Coman in the latter half.
In the early hours today (Vietnam time), Al-Nassr traveled to face Al Kholood in a Saudi Pro League fixture Saudi Pro League and claimed a convincing 3-0 win, narrowing the gap to just 3 points behind league leaders Al-Hilal.
The first half was challenging for the visitors as Al Kholood defended with discipline, causing many problems. Sadio Mané had a late goal disallowed due to Joao Félix being offside earlier. Despite dominating possession, Al-Nassr went into halftime deadlocked at 0-0.
Early in the second half, the deadlock was broken. In the 47th minute, Joao Félix made a run down the left flank and combined smoothly with Angelo Gabriel before delivering a perfect cross for Cristiano Ronaldo to tap in and open the scoring for Al-Nassr. Just six minutes later, the visitors doubled their lead when Mohamed Simakan rose high to power a precise header from Félix’s corner, leaving goalkeeper Juan Pablo Cozzani no chance.
The home side’s situation worsened in the 72nd minute when captain Hattan Bahebri received a direct red card for elbowing Simakan. Reduced to ten men, Al Kholood struggled to withstand Al-Nassr’s relentless attacks. In the 87th minute, Kingsley Coman sealed the comprehensive victory with a cool penalty after being fouled by Ramzi Solan inside the box.
With this win, Al-Nassr climbed to second place in the standings, edging Al-Ahli Saudi on goal difference, and maintained strong pressure in the race for the Saudi Pro League title this season.
