The four-time Serie A top scorer is moving to Ligue 1 to conclude his career, with Paris being the target. Italian transfer specialist Romano revealed that Bologna’s 35-year-old Italian forward Immobile will soon join the newly promoted Ligue 1 side Paris FC this season.
Romano states that Immobile is on the verge of joining Paris FC, with all terms agreed upon, and this deal is a permanent transfer rather than a loan. Immobile has reached a personal agreement with Paris FC, accepted the contract terms offered, and after his medical examination, he will sign the contract and the club will officially announce the transfer.
Now 35 years old, Immobile has become a fringe player at Bologna this season, appearing 9 times across all competitions, only starting twice, totaling 227 minutes played, with zero goals and zero assists. The four-time Serie A top scorer has effectively become a non-factor on the pitch.
Immobile, formerly Lazio’s key player, has won the Serie A top scorer award four times, specificallyin the 2013-14, 2017-18, 2019-20, and 2021-22 seasons; he also claimed the Serie B top scorer once (2011-12 season) and the Europa League top scorer once (2017). Even a prolific striker cannot escape the passage of time. Now at 35, Immobile moves to Ligue 1’s promoted Paris FC to extend his career, hoping to regain his scoring boots there.
