In the 8th round of the 2025/26 National First Division, Trường Tươi Đồng Nai hosted Khánh Hòa at home, welcoming the much-anticipated return of Công Phượng. However, the home team’s joy was dampened early when, in the 3rd minute, Hà Minh Đức took advantage of an opportunity to score accurately, giving the visitors the lead.

Nevertheless, Đồng Nai quickly responded. Just over 10 minutes later, persistent pressure from Công Phượng unsettled Khánh Hòa’s defense. In an attempt to block Công Phượng’s shot, Đình Bảo mistakenly scored an own goal in the 14th minute, leveling the score at 1-1. The remainder of the first half was lively with back-and-forth action, but no further goals were scored.

In the second half, Đồng Nai pushed forward aggressively, increasing pressure to gain the advantage. After several attacks, Hải Quân struck at the right moment to score and raise the score to 2-1, igniting the crowd.
