Following the group phase, the eight strongest teams that qualified for the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship quarter-finals have been identified.
On the evening of February 1st, the final matches of the group stage AFC Asian Futsal 2026 came to a close, confirming the 8 teams securing their spots in the quarter-finals: Indonesia, Iraq, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Afghanistan.
Earlier, just after the first two rounds, 7 out of the 8 quarter-finalists had already been determined by winning two consecutive matches. In the last match of Group C on the evening of February 1st, Uzbekistan secured the final ticket to advance. Specifically, they earned a total of 4 points after losing 1-2 to Japan, while their competitor Tajikistan drew 1-1 with Australia, only gaining 2 points and finishing third.
The 4 quarter-final matches have been set as follows: host Indonesia vs Vietnam, Thailand vs Iraq, Japan vs Afghanistan, and Iran vs Uzbekistan.
Regarding the Vietnam futsal team, which advanced as the runner-up of Group B after 2 wins and 1 loss. Coach Diego Giustozzi's squad will face the host Indonesia to compete for a place in the tournament semi-finals.
