Cristiano Ronaldo is unhappy with PIF and plans to boycott, triggered by Benzema, making the Saudi Pro League title race uncertain.

The Portuguese outlet Maisfutebol reports that Ronaldo intends to boycott, so he will be absent from the current Saudi Pro League fixture where Al-Nassr faces Al-Hilal away, with the primary reason being Ronaldo’s displeasure with the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), which also concerns another key player who was Ronaldo’s partner at Real Madrid, Benzema.

The Portuguese media stated that Ronaldo is very upset with recent decisions by PIF, which has not only obstructed multiple internal recruitment and strengthening plans for Al-Nassr but has also frequently created obstacles in transfer negotiations, causing several signings to fall through. Another major issue is PIF’s plan to transfer the star player of Saudi Pro League defending champions Al-Ittihad Jeddah to this season’s league leader Al-Hilal, which would directly strengthen Al-Hilal and make it harder for Al-Nassr to compete for the title this season, fueling Ronaldo’s strong dissatisfaction.

It is reported that Ronaldo’s physical condition has been good recently, and he has not been excluded from tactical plans by Al-Nassr’s coach Jesus, so his absence in this round of the league is a personal boycott, expressing his displeasure with PIF.

Ronaldo has already scored 17 league goals this season, ranking joint second in the Saudi Pro League top scorers list, just behind 18-year-old Tony with 18 goals. Al-Nassr sits second in the league table, three points behind Al-Hilal. Ronaldo is leading Al-Nassr’s charge to win his first Saudi Pro League title during his time in Saudi Arabia. With Ronaldo’s boycott and his dissatisfaction with PIF, the Saudi Pro League title race may become even more unpredictable, as Ronaldo is the league’s top star and a prolonged trophy drought would not look good. It now depends on how PIF handles this situation...
