In an interview with TTXVN reporters in Indonesia, Vietnam Futsal head coach Diego Giustozzi openly acknowledged the strength of their opponent. He commented, "In fact, Indonesia is currently a powerful team in Asia. They are the reigning champions of the SEA Games and the latest AFF Futsal Championship. Playing in front of 15,000 home supporters is also a significant advantage for them."

However, the Argentine strategist affirmed his complete satisfaction with Vietnam’s preparation and expressed confidence in his players’ ability to create surprises.

Coach Giustozzi analyzed, "We have thoroughly studied how to neutralize their strengths. Indonesia has very fast and skillful wingers (Ala) and quality pivots (forwards). They play very organized football. Nevertheless, we know them very well. This will be a balanced match, and the outcome may only be decided in the final minutes or through a few key moments."

A positive sign for the Vietnam Futsal team is that their squad remains intact. Coach Giustozzi confirmed that all 14 players are fit and ready to play. In a high-level competition with such intensity, maintaining physical condition and mental focus is crucial. According to Giustozzi, the Vietnamese players are strong both physically and mentally, prepared to fight fairly against the host team.

From the players’ side, Nguyễn Thái Huy expressed caution but full determination. Speaking on the sidelines of practice, Thái Huy said, "Indonesia is a very strong opponent; they have dominated the region in recent years, so we hold them in high regard. However, once reaching the quarterfinals, the teams’ levels are comparable. As long as the whole team maintains 100% focus and plays with maximum determination, Vietnam can definitely achieve a good result."

The quarterfinal match promises to be intense as both teams aim to advance deep into the semifinals. With careful preparation and a fearless spirit under pressure, the Vietnam Futsal team is aiming for a brave performance right in the "futsal sanctuary" of the "Land of a Thousand Islands."

According to the schedule, the match between the Vietnam Futsal team and Indonesia is set for 7:00 PM on February 3rd. This is expected to be a major challenge for Coach Giustozzi’s squad as their opponents boast impressive form and home advantage.
