In the quarterfinal clash with Indonesia’s futsal team, Vietnam will field their full-strength squad.
At 7:00 PM on February 3rd, Vietnam’s futsal team will step onto the court to face Indonesia in the quarterfinals as part of the AFC Futsal Championship.
For this match, coach Diego Giustozzi received encouraging news regarding the squad as key pivot Thịnh Phát has fully recovered after sitting out the game against Thailand. Additionally, the Vietnam futsal team welcomed back Dương Ngọc Linh following his suspension. Both players promise to be valuable additions for this do-or-die encounter.
Earlier on the afternoon of February 2nd, to prepare for the quarterfinal, the organizers arranged a 60-minute training session for Vietnam’s futsal team at the Arena Indonesia – the venue of the upcoming match.
In the locker room of the arena, coach Diego Giustozzi reviewed some lessons from the recent loss to Thailand’s futsal team before heading to the training ground. With only one day left before the match, the session was relatively light, starting with warm-up exercises. Then, coach Diego Giustozzi led tactical instructions, practiced attacking plays, defensive organization, and rehearsed set-piece situations. Vietnam’s futsal team is also prepared for the possibility of a 6-meter penalty shootout if needed.
Before the match, coach Diego Giustozzi stated: “Indonesia has won the SEA Games, earned many important titles, and is accustomed to playing in front of tens of thousands of fans. They have a strong squad and solid competitive spirit. However, I am satisfied with what Vietnam’s futsal team has shown and have complete confidence in my players.”
