Fans braved the rain to cheer on the Vietnam Futsal team.

By 4:00 PM, thousands of fans had arrived at the stadium despite the rain. According to the organizers, all 16,000 tickets for the arena were sold out days in advance. Around 5:00 PM, the Vietnam Futsal team’s bus arrived at the main entrance to complete pre-match procedures.

The atmosphere outside the stadium heated up by the hour with lively debates about the game’s tactics between supporters from both countries.

Speaking to TTXVN, Mr. Vũ Hồng Tuyến, a Vietnamese fan who came early, was cautious yet somewhat optimistic. He said, “I think Indonesia is a very strong team. They recently won the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand. They have a well-balanced and excellent squad across all three lines, especially goalkeeper, defenders, and midfielders. However, I have noticed that the Vietnam team has made significant progress recently.”

Mr. Hồng Tuyến also expressed hope in key players of the team: “I am very impressed and hopeful about the performances of individuals like Thịnh Phát and the goalkeeper. I believe Vietnam will win with a score of 2-1.”

On the other side, the home fans were very confident. Mr. Fandi Akbar commented, “Vietnam has a strong defense and will be challenging, but I believe Indonesia will settle this match. My prediction is also 2-1, but in favor of Indonesia.”

For safety, the host country tightened security to the highest level. Despite the heavy rain, people queued orderly through multiple security checks. The match’s popularity was so high that even at 7:15 PM, when the game had already started, many fans were still patiently waiting in line outside the arena to enter.

The presence of the Vietnamese community in Jakarta, along with the red and yellow flags in the Indonesia Arena stands, is expected to provide great moral support to help the Vietnam Futsal team overcome the pressure in this “fiery” venue.
