On the evening of 4/2, Hanoi Police Club will host Tampines Rovers FC at Hang Day Stadiumas part of the group stage of the 2025/26 Shoppe Cup. After losing to Selangor FC in the previous round, the Vietnamese representative, Hanoi Police, will face Tampines Rover FC (Singapore) at home. However, this match is now only a formality.
Although one match remains, CAHN trails the top two teams by at least 3 points and has lost head-to-head matches, so they are already eliminated. Still, Dinh Bac and his teammates will strive for the best result to bid a proper farewell to the tournament. Considering last season’s runner-up status, being knocked out at the group stage this year is quite disappointing for CAHN.
In the upcoming match, the Hang Day home team faces some squad challenges as Doan Van Hau and several key players need thorough fitness checks. If they do not meet the requirements, they will have to sit out. The good news is that some U23 Vietnamese stars such as Dinh Bac, Ly Duc, and Minh Phuc may be fit enough to start the game.
After the Shoppe Cup match against Tampines Rover FC, Hanoi Police will play two more matches against the same Singaporean club in the AFC CL2 on February 11 and 18. Regarding AFC CL2, coach Polking emphasized that AFC CL2 is a more important competition, but Hanoi Police will not underperform in tomorrow’s match. The coaching staff and the whole team remain serious, giving their best effort to achieve the best possible result.
