Phong Phú Hà Nam clinched the U19 Women's National Championship 2026 early

The win against Thái Nguyên T&T ensured Phong Phú Hà Nam claimed the 2026 U19 Women's National Championship ahead of the final round.

Although only one point was needed to guarantee the championship, Phong Phú Hà Nam fielded a highly attacking lineup in their 9th round match against Thái Nguyên T&T. Coach Trần Lệ Thủy’s strategy paid off early when Ngân Thị Thanh Hiếu scored from close range to open the scoring for Phong Phú Hà Nam, assisted by Lê Hồng Yêu.

Refusing to accept defeat, Thái Nguyên T&T launched a strong offensive but were met with a solid defense from Phong Phú Hà Nam. In reality, the tea country team failed to capitalize on their created chances. Fortunately, Đèo Ky Chun’s moment of brilliance arrived just in time.

In the 36th minute, the striker made a brilliant run following a through ball from a teammate and curled a precise shot to level the score at 1-1 for Thái Nguyên T&T. The remainder of the first half saw no further goals, and the teams went into halftime tied.

In the second half, Phong Phú Hà Nam once again took the initiative to attack. The home team continued to control the game better than their opponents. The introduction of Y Za Lương, with superior stamina, helped Phong Phú Hà Nam dominate the ball contests.

However, it was only near the end of the match that they achieved their goal. In the 83rd minute, from a delicate pass by Y Za Lương, Lưu Hoàng Vân delivered a precise shot to secure a 2-1 victory for Phong Phú Hà Nam. With 20 points from 8 matches, Phong Phú Hà Nam officially claimed the unbeaten championship title.

In the late match at 6 PM the same day, Ho Chi Minh City comfortably beat Than KSVN 3-0, further solidifying their second place in the standings and securing the runner-up position before the final round on February 7 at Hà Nam Stadium.
