Based on the report and proposal from Van Hien University Football Club concerning their match venue; pursuant to the regulations of the Competition Rules and the current schedule and plan of the 2025/26 National First Division Football League; after consideration, the Organizing Committee announces:
From the second half of the 2025/26 National First Division season onward, Van Hien University Football Club’s home matches will be held at Ba Ria Stadium instead of Thong Nhat Stadium. For round 22 (simultaneous matches), Van Hien University Football Club is responsible for registering another qualified and standard stadium as their home ground.
The Organizing Committee requests the match organizers, Van Hien University Club, and all related clubs and departments to update information, proactively coordinate, and ensure matches proceed successfully according to the announced venue change plan.
Van Hien University was newly established in March 2024 and just over a year later has already competed in the First Division – the second highest professional football league in Vietnam. Starting as a student team, Van Hien is demonstrating great potential through its model that combines academic training with sports development. This approach is highly regarded by experts as it helps nurture quality football talent directly within the university environment.
Previously, Van Hien University made history by becoming the first student team to secure a victory in a professional competitionafter defeating Dong Thap in round 4 of the 2025/26 National First Division.
On the afternoon of October 17th, Thong Nhat Stadium witnessed a historic milestone for Vietnamese football as Van Hien University became the first student team to win a professional tournament. In round 4 of the 2025/26 National First Division, coach Nguyen Dinh Hung’s squad defeated Dong Thap 1-0, marking a significant moment in the nation’s football history.
