Before round 13 of the V-League: Will the top spot change hands?

Before the Lunar New Year holiday, round 13 of the V-League is scheduled from February 7th to 9th, with many important clashes affecting the fight for the title and survival.

At home, Ninh Binh FC (27 points) is determined to secure all 3 points when hosting HAGL (11 points) in order to temporarily reclaim the top position, especially since CAHN will not play this round. Despite a recent 2-3 loss to CAHN while playing with one less player from the first half, coach Albadalejo’s team has shown resilient spirit. On the other hand, HAGL just defeated SHB Da Nang to escape the bottom group temporarily, but their realistic goal away is still just to gain 1 point.

On the same day, Becamex TP.HCM (12 points) will host PVF-CAND (8 points) at Binh Duong stadium. Under coach Nobuhiro, the home team prioritizes solidity, but against a lower-ranked opponent, they are likely to take an active approach aiming for victory. Meanwhile, PVF-CAND continues to face difficulties in their debut V.League 1 season.

The highlight of the day is the match between Hanoi FC (18 points) and Hai Phong (20 points) at Hang Day stadium. Hanoi FC is gradually stabilizing under coach Harry Kewell, as shown by their 3-1 win over SLNA in the previous round. Meanwhile, Hai Phong, led by coach Chu Dinh Nghiem, although recently defeated by The Cong Viettel, still aims to compete within the top 5, promising a tight and unpredictable game.

Two more matches will take place on Sunday (February 8th). The Cong Viettel (22 points), newly risen to third place, is highly favored when hosting SLNA at Hang Day, thanks to their consistent form and superior squad. Meanwhile, CA TP.HCM (20 points) will face Dong A Thanh Hoa (9 points) at Thong Nhat stadium. The home side must secure maximum points to maintain a top position, while Thanh Hoa seeks a positive result to improve their relegation fight.

The match between Thep Xanh Nam Dinh (11 points) and Hong Linh Ha Tinh (16 points) at Thien Truong stadium will be held on Monday (February 9th). The reigning champions are currently on a streak of draws, while Ha Tinh has shown stability, making this encounter expected to be quite evenly matched.

The latest match of round 13 between SHB Da Nang and CAHN at Chi Lang stadium will take place on March 22nd.
