An exclusive from The Mirror reveals that the Saudi Pro League is planning to acquire Liverpool's iconic player and Africa's best footballer, Salah, to succeed Ronaldo, who has missed the last two league games due to a boycott, as the league's new leading figure.
The British outlet stated that ever since Benzema transferred from Al-Ittihad to Al-Hilal, Ronaldo has been boycotting matches, missing two league rounds, which has significantly impacted the Saudi Pro League. The league has taken a firm stance, warning Ronaldo that no player has the authority to interfere with the independent transfer committee's decisions. This indicates that the conflict between Ronaldo and the league is now public and irreconcilable. The league aims to sign a new star to continue boosting its influence, with Salah as the top candidate. This season, Salah's relationship with Liverpool has become strained, and with only one year left on his contract after this summer, it's the ideal time for Liverpool to sell him. Salah currently earns £400,000 per week, and the Saudi Pro League is willing to offer the Egyptian star three times that amount. Moreover, Salah would easily adapt to life in Saudi Arabia, giving him an advantage over other players in this regard.
Ronaldo earns £3.35 million per week, and if he continues to boycott and eventually leaves, Al-Nassr would free up significant salary space to recruit more top players. Otherwise, Ronaldo's presence severely limits Al-Nassr's ability to sign new talents. Ronaldo aims to return to European leagues to pursue the milestone of 1000 career goals. Salah moving to the Saudi Pro League and Ronaldo returning to Europe could be a win-win situation for both stars!
