Thanh Hoa FC caused a major upset by beating Ho Chi Minh City Police 2-1 away, showcasing resilience, toughness, and superior efficiency throughout the match.
Right from the kickoff, both teams played at a high tempo and engaged in open attacking football. Despite being the visitors, Thanh Hoa created more clear chances early on. In the 6th minute, Ngoc My tested goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang twice with a long-range shot that hit the crossbar, followed by a missed one-on-one opportunity immediately after.
The visitors’ pressure soon paid off. In the 9th minute, Damoth Thongkhamsavath confidently dribbled past defenders and fired a decisive shot to open the scoring for Dong A Thanh Hoa.

In the 76th minute, assisted by Doan Ngoc Tan’s pass, Damoth Thongkhamsavath unleashed a powerful long shot to complete his brace and put the visitors ahead again.
