U13 PVF forward Pham Quang Khai was honored as the top scorer at the FT Cup 2026 friendly competition held in China.
U13 PVF concluded their FT Cup 2026 journey with a convincing 3-0 victory over U13 Sichuan in the third-place match, securing the bronze medal overall. Their disciplined and solid performance left a positive impression, especially after tough challenges in earlier rounds.
The highlight of the decisive match was striker Pham Quang Khai’s brace. These two goals not only secured an advantage for his team but also confirmed his title as the tournament’s top scorer. Khai finished with 10 goals – an impressive tally for a player at the U13 level.
Notably, all 10 of Quang Khai’s goals were scored against teams from China. His consistent scoring against these opponents played a key role in PVF’s deep run and demonstrated the 2013-born striker’s adaptability and competitive spirit.
The FT Cup 2026 took place from February 3 to 8, featuring 28 youth teams from various training backgrounds. Across six matches, U13 PVF achieved four wins, one draw, and only one loss, scoring 19 goals while conceding just twice. These statistics reflect a balance between explosive offense and tight defense.
Right from the opening round of Group E, PVF made a strong impression by thrashing U13 Shunde Eastern FC 11-0. In that game, Quang Khai truly shined with seven goals, becoming the standout player. His smart movement and clinical finishing left the opposing defense nearly helpless.
A member of the academy’s 15th batch, Quang Khai currently stands 1.49m tall and weighs 43 kg. Though not physically imposing, he is extremely sharp inside the penalty area. He knows how to appear at the right moment, finishes cleanly with both feet, and maintains strong confidence. This personal accolade reflects the emerging killer instinct he is developing.
