The match between Nam Dinh and Ha Tinh in round 13 of the 2025/26 V-League ended in a dramatic 1-1 draw after injury time at Thien Truong Stadium. Despite dominating and leading for most of the game, the home side failed to secure all three points as the opponents equalized in the 90+7 minute.
Nam Dinh started proactively and quickly made an impact. In the 4th minute, capitalizing on a poor clearance by Van Hanh of Ha Tinh, Percy Tau swiftly regained possession, dribbled a few steps, then curled a precise shot that left goalkeeper Thanh Tung no chance, opening the scoring for the home team.
After scoring, Nam Dinh tightened their play, deliberately slowing the pace and controlling the game. Nevertheless, the home team still created some notable chances, including a shot from Van Kien that hit the post following a good overlap from Percy Tau in the 38th minute. Earlier, Ha Tinh responded with a dangerous long-range shot by Victor Le, forcing goalkeeper Nguyen Manh into a tough save.
In the second half, Ha Tinh pushed forward seeking an equalizer. Xuan Son managed to put the ball in the net in the 54th minute after a cross from Percy Tau, but the goal was disallowed for offside. The final minutes were tense with several key moments, including a VAR review confirming a Ha Tinh player was offside during a handball appeal inside the penalty area.
Just as everyone expected a Nam Dinh victory, Ha Tinh suddenly surged in the 90+7 minute. From a quick counterattack on the left wing, Tien Dat’s shot hit the crossbar, allowing Balotelli to follow up with a header to seal the 1-1 draw, earning a valuable point for the visitors in round 13 of the 2025/26 V-League.

Starting lineups of both teams
Nam Dinh recently achieved their goal at the Southeast Asian Club Cup by drawing 1-1 with Johor Darul Ta’zim to top Group B and advance to the semifinals. However, contrasting with their positive regional image, the Nam team has been struggling alarmingly in the V.League.
Domestically, Nam Dinh has gone 8 matches without a win. A series of draws and losses against CA TP.HCM, Ninh Binh, CAHN, Becamex TP.HCM, and SHB Da Nang have caused the yellow-shirted team to slide down the standings. Notably, even at home in Thien Truong, Nam Dinh failed to capitalize, drawing consecutively with HAGL, Hanoi, and Thanh Hoa. The recent 2-2 draw against Thanh Hoa was especially disappointing, highlighted by Nguyen Xuan Son missing a penalty in the final moments.
The coaching change with Mauro Jeronimo’s arrival has yet to show clear results. After more than 20 days, the Portuguese coach has only helped Nam Dinh earn one additional point. With just 11 points and sitting 10th, the Nam team is far behind the leaders and under great pressure in the relegation battle.
This round, Ha Tinh poses a manageable yet challenging test. Coach Nguyen Cong Manh’s team is in good form with 3 wins in their last 4 matches, showing resilience in tight games.
Although head-to-head history and home advantage favor Nam Dinh, to end their unfortunate streak, they must improve their tactical organization and finishing. If they continue to waste chances, Thien Truong may witness yet another disappointment.
