Immediately following the game on the night of February 10th, Coach Mai Đức Chung’s squad went back to practice to get ready for the rematch set for February 13th.
On the morning of February 11th, the Vietnam women's national team continued their training session after the first friendly match. During this practice, the coaching staff divided players into two main groups: those who played extensively in the previous match focused mainly on relaxation and recovery, while the remaining players maintained a high-intensity training regimen to prepare for the upcoming game. Since it was just a friendly without emphasizing the result, the players remained comfortable and motivated.
Earlier on the evening of February 10th, the team in red competed against the China women's national team and suffered a 0-2 defeat. Coach Mai Đức Chung’s players started proactively, striving to implement their tactics and maintain tight defense under the pressure from the home team. However, facing a strong Asian opponent, Huỳnh Như and her teammates were unable to cause an upset.
Coach Mai Đức Chung commented: "From this match, the coaching staff will learn lessons to improve and complete the squad. Our first half was not very good, possibly because the team had only two prior training matches against Uzbekistan, so the level of readiness was not high. When facing a strong team like China, we recognized many issues to adjust.”
According to the plan, the two teams will have one more friendly match on the evening of February 13th before returning home, concluding the training camp.
