Following Tottenham, another major club has officially confirmed the dismissal of their head coach from the managerial position.
The decision was made amid ongoing inconsistent performance, notably with the English coach lasting only 114 days in charge. A disappointing record for both Dyche and the City Ground club.
"Nottingham Forest confirms that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach. We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts and dedication during their time at the club and wish them all the best in their future endeavors. At this time, the club will not be making any further comments."- the club's official website announced.
In the latest Premier League round, Nottingham Forest once again disappointed by drawing in a disjointed and lifeless performance. The defensive system, traditionally a strength under Dyche, repeatedly made positional errors, while the attack struggled against an average defensive block of the opponent.
Since the start of the 2025/26 season, Nottingham Forest has never shown stability. They frequently dropped points against comparable teams and failed to cause any surprises against the Big Six. Their goal tally remained modest while goals conceded steadily increased each round.
Under Sean Dyche, the team adopted a pragmatic and disciplined style. However, in the Premier League’s increasingly fast-paced and creative environment, that philosophy no longer fully suits Forest’s current squad. The lack of a true playmaker in midfield combined with inconsistent attacking form has led the team into a downward spiral.
Notably, Sean Dyche is not the only case. Since the season began, the Premier League has seen 8 managers dismissed. This list includes Nuno Santo of Nottingham Forest, Graham Potter of West Ham, Ange Postecoglou of Nottingham Forest, Vitor Pereira of Wolves, Enzo Maresca of Chelsea, Ruben Amorim of Man United, Thomas Frank of Tottenham, and most recently Sean Dyche of Nottingham Forest.
The figure of 8 managers losing their jobs within the first half of the season highlights the immense pressure in the world’s most exciting league. Owners are quick to make decisions if results don’t meet expectations, regardless of whether the manager is experienced or previously trusted with a long-term role.
For Nottingham Forest, the biggest question now is who will take over the hot seat and whether they will have enough time to salvage the 2025/26 season. With the relegation battle intensifying, every mistake will come at a high cost.
