The final round of the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Championship will officially take place in China from April 30 to May 17, 2026.Featuring 12 of the continent’s top teams, this edition expands from 8 to 12 teams compared to previous tournaments, marking a new milestone for Asia’s premier youth women’s football competition. This is the 10th edition, underscoring its key role within the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) competition system.

Under the new format, the 12 teams are divided into 3 groups of 4, playing a single round-robin within each group to accumulate points.After the group stage, the top two teams from each group plus the two best third-placed teams will advance to the quarterfinals. From there, the tournament moves to knockout rounds to determine the four semifinalists and the two finalists.

Notably, the four semifinalists will represent Asia at the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco. This raises the competition’s intensity, as every match carries significance not only for rankings but also as a gateway to the global stage.
