Midfielder Văn Thuận scored his debut goal for Ninh Bình Club during the friendly against Thanh Niên Ho Chi Minh City.
On the afternoon of February 13, Ninh Bình Club had a successful warm-up before the Tet holiday by defeating Thanh Niên Ho Chi Minh City 6-1 in a practice match. This victory is considered an important morale boost for the historic team after their V-League results had not been as smooth as in the early season.
Notably, one of the most impressive players was young midfielder Văn Thuận. The U23 Vietnam star continued to demonstrate his ability to create breakthroughs by scoring, contributing to Ninh Bình's dominant performance. This goal increased his confidence as he strives to establish his role in a highly competitive environment.
Besides Văn Thuận’s goal, Ninh Bình’s attack was also effective with a double from Fred Friday and two goals from Geovane Magno. Gustavo also managed to get on the scoresheet, completing the emphatic win for the team from the ancient capital. The variety in goal scoring sent positive signals to the coaching staff.
This win came just before the entire team entered the Tet Lunar New Year break. According to the plan, players will be off from February 15 and regroup on the third day of Tet, preparing for the challenging journey ahead, especially aiming to regain the rhythm that once propelled them high.
In fact, Ninh Bình FC once led the table in the early season but stalled after two consecutive losses to Công An Hà Nội FC and Hoàng Anh Gia Lai FC. The long break due to international youth tournaments somewhat affected the form of the newcomers.
After Tet, Ninh Bình’s coach and players will visit Thép Xanh Nam Định FC on March 1. With the improving integration of young talents like Văn Thuận, alongside experienced key players, the team from the ancient capital hopes to present a new look and make a strong comeback in the long race.
