Center-back Nhật Minh creates a buzz on Valentine’s Day

Rather than showcasing his "significant other" during Valentine’s Day, center-back Nguyễn Nhật Minh amused many by posting images of making bánh chưng with his family ahead of the Lunar New Year.

On the 27th day of the Lunar New Year, which also coincides with Valentine’s Day, center-back Nhật Minh shared very down-to-earth moments by posting a series of pictures of himself wrapping bánh chưng with his family on his personal page. The 2003-born player cheerfully showed off the results and humorously captioned: “My Valentine’s Day.”

No flowers or romantic gifts, but instead a warm and cozy atmosphere with loved ones. The simple image of the Hải Phòng FC player quickly attracted many interactions, receiving numerous delighted comments from U23 Vietnam fans.

Under the post, many teammates left comments for the U23 Vietnam player: "If your feet are skillful and your hands are too, you must be very popular," joked goalkeeper Đình Triệu. "Someone do it for me, please," wrote Lý Đức...

The 2026 Lunar New Year is a precious time for Nhật Minh and the U23 Vietnam players to spend quality moments with their families after a busy year of competition.

The year 2025 marked an important milestone in Nhật Minh’s career. He played a key role in helping U23 Vietnam win the gold medal at the Southeast Asian U23 Championship, claim the title at SEA Games 33, and earn a bronze medal at the 2026 U23 Asian Championship. This center-back impressed with solid gameplay, strong situational awareness, and fierce competitive spirit.

At club level, despite his young age, Nhật Minh has become a vital part of Hải Phòng’s defense. After 13 rounds, coach Chu Đình Nghiêm’s team has accumulated 20 points and currently ranks 5th on the leaderboard.
