Cristiano Ronaldo settles internal disputes at Al-Nassr and is set to resume playing in the Saudi Pro League, although his long-term plans are still surrounded by rumors.

Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to make his comeback for Al-Nassr after a period of internal tensions, closing the chapter on circulating rumors regarding the Portuguese superstar’s short-term future in the Saudi Pro League.

According to multiple sources, Cristiano Ronaldo expressed dissatisfaction with the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, believing they prioritized strengthening other Pro League clubs over Al-Nassr. This led to his absence in matches against Al-Riyadh and Al-Ittihad, sparking speculation about his relationship with the club.

However, journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Ronaldo has resolved the issues and is ready to return. “Cristiano Ronaldo has officially returned and is eligible to play for Al-Nassr following recent internal discussions,” Romano stated. He emphasized that the problem was never directly between Ronaldo and the club but stemmed from higher-level talks involving strategy, budget, and transfer plans with the PIF.

Romano also affirmed that Ronaldo maintains excellent relations with the club’s management, coaching staff, teammates, and the entire Al-Nassr team. The 41-year-old forward has been training with the squad recently, traveling with them, and is expected to play in the upcoming match against Al-Fateh.

From the league organizers’ perspective, the Saudi Pro League issued a firm statement affirming that no individual is above the collective. The league highlighted Ronaldo’s crucial role in Al-Nassr’s development and ambitions but insisted that strategic decisions do not depend on any single star. Ronaldo’s acceptance to return is seen as a “victory” for the Pro League in upholding its governance principles.

Although his immediate future is tied to Al-Nassr, long-term questions about Ronaldo’s next destination remain. The possibility of rejoining Manchester United has been completely dismissed by former chief scout Mick Brown, who cited past strained relations making a reunion unrealistic.

Additionally, Ronaldo has been linked with MLS, which could open a new chapter in his iconic rivalry with Lionel Messi. Another option is a return to his old club Sporting CP, although financial challenges are considered a significant obstacle.
