Leaders from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Sports Administration, and Vietnam Football Federation extend Lunar New Year greetings to the Vietnam women's national team ahead of the Year of the Horse
On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Horse, this morning (February 15), leaders from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), Vietnam Sports Administration, and Vietnam Football Federation visited, encouraged, and wished the Vietnam women's national team, currently training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, a happy new year.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong – Deputy Minister of MCST; Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh – Deputy Director of Vietnam Sports Administration; and Mr. Nguyen Van Phu – General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation.
Reporting to the ministry leaders and managing units, head coach Mai Duc Chung stated that the entire team strictly follows the training plan, ensuring the volume and intensity as prescribed. Despite the proximity to the Lunar New Year, the players remain focused, professional, and highly determined, aiming for important tasks in 2026.
On behalf of the coaching staff and players, coach Mai Duc Chung expressed gratitude for the timely care and encouragement from leaders of MCST, Vietnam Sports Administration, and Vietnam Football Federation, considering it a great motivation for the team to continue striving.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong acknowledged and highly praised the team's serious training spirit and persistent efforts, especially during the days leading up to the Lunar New Year. He emphasized that the achievements of the Vietnam women's national team have significantly contributed to the overall success of Vietnamese sports, and affirmed that the ministry, the Sports Administration, and the Football Federation will continue to provide the best conditions for the team to achieve its goals in the new year.
On the occasion of the Year of the Horse, leaders from MCST, Vietnam Sports Administration, and Vietnam Football Federation sent New Year wishes to the entire coaching staff, players, and their families, wishing the team good health, luck, and continued success in the coming year.
As scheduled, this afternoon the players will go back to their localities to celebrate the Lunar New Year with their families. The whole team will regroup on February 18 (the second day of the Lunar New Year) to resume training and prepare for upcoming international duties.
