Midfielder Đỗ Hoàng Hên is very excited about the upcoming 2026 Lunar New Year in Vietnam.
The year 2026 will mark the sixth time the midfielder Đỗ Hoàng Hên celebrates Tet in Vietnam. However, the spring of the Year of the Horse will feel especially meaningful as he has officially become a Vietnamese citizen.
Speaking about his upcoming Tet holiday plans, Hoàng Hên revealed: "Most of the time, we will stay in Hanoi to enjoy the Tet atmosphere in the capital and visit friends and teammates here. For the remaining time, I might go on a vacation to Nha Trang or Da Nang,"Hên shared.
"Bánh chưng is a traditional Vietnamese Tet dish. I will buy bánh chưng from the supermarket to enjoy," he added.
In reality, Hoàng Hên won’t have many days off during this Tet because, according to the schedule, Hanoi FC will resume training on February 20th (the third day of Tet) to prepare for the 14th round of the V-League.
Since joining Hanoi FC, Đỗ Hoàng Hên has quickly proven his skills and become a key player for the team. After 7 matches, the naturalized striker has scored 4 goals for the capital club. Regarding his goals for the near future, Hên said: "My goal is very clear: to help Hanoi win the V-League. The team hasn’t won the championship in the last three seasons. Therefore, I will do my best to help the team reach the highest position."
Finally, Hên sent his New Year wishes to all the fans: "I wish all the fans a happy and peaceful year. I hope everyone will always be joyful and achieve their goals."
