Earlier, on the morning of February 16th, the Vietnam women's futsal team arrived in Narita, Japan, to begin an important training camp in preparation for the 2026 Southeast Asian Women's Futsal Championship.
The team’s flight departed from Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) last night and landed at Narita Airport at 7:35 AM local time. After settling into their accommodation, the entire squad quickly started recovery and began training sessions as scheduled.
According to the training schedule from February 16th to 21st, head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his players will play two friendly matches against Bardral Urayasu Club on February 17th and 19th. These matches are crucial for the coaching staff to assess performance, experiment with lineups, and help players improve coordination and decision-making under high-intensity conditions.
The 2026 Southeast Asian Women's Futsal Championship will take place from February 24th to March 2nd at Terminal Hall, Terminal 21 Shopping Center, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand. According to the draw, Vietnam is in Group B along with Myanmar, the Philippines, and Australia; Group A includes hosts Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
The training camp in Japan combined with two quality friendly matches is expected to provide the Vietnam women's futsal team with comprehensive preparation in both skills and mindset, ready to aim for high achievements at the regional competition.
